Sunday, May 4th

This Sunday was a blast! We slept in and went to a nice lunch in town at a restaurant called Markas'. There I tried the traditional Soffritto dish, which consisted of a tender cut of veal, rice, a beef sauce, and thick-cut potato fries.  It was pretty delicious, not gonna lie, and reminded me a little of my mom's pork chops and gravy. We then went to sight-see down at the coast near our hotel at an old white monastery on the sea. It was a calm and peaceful view, and I got some good pictures from it. Afterwards, we went into town to explore and shop at some small vendors in Old Town while on our way to a soccer game we had seen advertised the earlier day. Although we were thinking the game would be a professional tournament game, it turned out to just be a senior citizen league! Oh well, they still played their hardest and it was free. On the way, we say some sheep on the side of the road so I simply had to get a selfie with them. Baaah!
